INSTALLING iTUNES ON YOUR MAC and Windows MACHINE
1. Download and install
iTunes
2. Since iTunes is such a multi faceted program we urge you to use the
default installation.
3. After installation and iTunes screen is displayed let's set it up
for FredNetRadio.com
a: Go to "File" and select "Make a Playlist"
b. Look in Playlists and find the "untitled" lets change the name to
FredNetRadio
d: Now copy one of the URLs of the FredNetRadio Streams (just copy starting with
the http://-------------)
(Fast)
http://stream.frednetradio.com:8002/live
(Medium)
http://frednetradio.net/live
(Slow)
http://dcnetradio.net:8008/live
4. Now go back to the top and find "Advanced" and select "Open Audio
Stream"
a: In the "Open Audio Stream Box" paste in the URL you copied in step 3 (d)
You will hear and see FredNetRadio playing.
b: Now go to the top box right below iTunes and you will see
FredNetRadio and what is playing.
Note the small arrow on the right side of the playing box.
c: Click on the arrow and a new box will appear. Look for
FredNetRadio and drag that file to the FredNetRadio
Playlist you created earlier.
d: If you click on the FredNetRadio Playlist a new box appears and
clicking the FredNet File will start
our stream.
5. iTunes has some great utilities far beyond the scope of our needs however
simply typing "ctrl + m" you can minimize the
player yet listen and view what is playing on FredNetRadio.
Just a reminder that iTunes also works great on Windows XP and newer versions
too!
